SONGWRITING WORKSHOP

This songwriting workshop is geared toward the musician who is ready to take their craft and creativity to the next level. Students will learn about composition, theory, and song structure. They will be guided from scratch on how to produce and turn their ideas into an original song. We can make music in your choice of genre (Rock, Pop, Hip Hop, Classical, etc.). In addition, after writing their own song, students can also learn how to produce and record their original compositions. You will learn:

Rhythms / Beats How to create the pulse of a song and the different ways to bring it to life. Explore time signatures, acoustic drums, digital drum programming, and percussion.

Song Structure How to arrange a song, use transitions, and keep it interesting.

Melody and Harmony How to create vocal and instrumental leads. How to layer and harmonize over your chord patterns and rhythms.

Critical Listening Analyze techniques and approaches used in popular music.

  Lyrics How to turn your words into a melody, craft song ideas, and be creative.

Publishing How to copyright, register, and license your music.
